Buy of the day: blue shirts for Father’s Day
Ach, what to buy for Father’s Day. Socks? Mug? Barbecue tongs?
Here’s a better idea. A blue shirt is on-the-money for summer 2016 (equal parts Gucci catwalk and Tom Hiddleston in The Night Manager) while being no more fash-wan scary than an argyle sock or a Yorkie bar.
From now until Father’s Day, Mr Porter have partnered with the Father & Son Day charity and are donating the profits from a curated selection of blue shirts to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, in order to raise awareness and money for treatment of male cancer. There is a short-sleeve indigo-dyed Folk shirt (for the dad whose spiritual home is drinking craft beer in Brooklyn, £125); a chic grandad-collar chambray by Thom Sweeney (for the dad who can pull off that Handsome Rob from All Ages look, £195), as well as a traditional canada goose coat 1000 bulbs coupon Richard James poplin (£125).
Or, if your dad isn’t a blue shirt kinda guy click over here, then in honour of the Father & Son Day campaign to encourage healthy discussion about men’s health, Orlebar Brown have three slogan T-shirts, scripted ‘FATHER’, ‘SON’ and, finally, ‘INSPIRATION’. Quite Kanye, no?
